Many of the best Barcelona beach restaurants have mastered the art of pleasing a variety of senses in a highly sophisticated manner. The visual beauty of the ocean combined with the senses such as smell and taste make for a very memorable experience.

Many of the restaurants in Barcelona serve a large variety of foods and dishes. Some restaurants have a good selection on their menus ranging from Italian to Greek, and of course Spanish cuisine.

Many of the foods that the Spaniards are known for preparing are dishes with seafood, rice, beans, lean poultry, and a lot of fruits and vegetables. Although these foods seem very basic, the Spaniards have a way of preparing these foods with their own unique ingredients which give them a very distinct flavor.

Cumin, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, paprika, saffron, bay leaf, and nutmeg are common spices used in Spanish cuisine. What is great about these spices is that although they may be somewhat potent in flavor the Spaniards know just the right amount to use to give their dishes an added dimension of flavor without overpowering the taste of the dish.Cumin, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, paprika, saffron, bay leaf, and nutmeg are common spices used in Spanish cuisine. It is a combination of cooking techniques and the spices they use which make savory dishes that people crave. They are also avid users of olive oil and garlic and use these two key ingredients when preparing most of their dishes.

Seafood Restaurants: since Spain is surrounded by three different bodies of water many restaurants serve a variety of seafood. Some of the most common seafood dishes include halibut, shrimp and octopus.

Another great thing about Spanish cuisine is that much of it is friendly on the pocket book and healthy as well.

Since most of their foods are prepared with olive oil you don’t have to worry about eating too much fat. You can also ask for variations of the dishes you would like to try by requesting a dish be made with fish as oppose to steak.

International Restaurants: since Spain has many different cuisines from around the world you will also find food with an Asian influence. There are also many restaurants with an African, Moroccan and Argentinean emphasis.
